First: Man goes through checkpoint with a loaded gun
Then: Man realizes it, and goes back to security to report it
Then: Man is detained by airport security and charged with a misdemeanor.
Seriously?
If we are going to detain a man for going back to remove his weapon, are we suggesting that he should have instead carried it on the plane?

Even better, since the person is getting charged even when he/she realizes the problem, why not ask TSA if this person should walk out of the airport and at least have a chance to evade the rap
a) walk out an hope the that the worst that happen was to miss a flight. And have a screener that was sleeping at the wheel continue sleeping when the real terrorist comes in.
OR
2) walk out and get caught in the process. to TSA, what would be the criminal charge in this case?
